Bula ,

In this day and age what can you really buy for $1? One dollar won’t top up your mobile phone or even buy you a decent meal, however it will gain you entry to the Dash for Diabetes 5km this Saturday.

The Dash for Diabetes 5km and family fun morning will be held this Saturday 14th October at Buckhurst Park in Suva and entry is only $1. The event is hosted by the Petero Civoniceva Foundation in association with Asco Motors Toyota.

This year’s winning categories include: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, First Female, First U16, First Over 60, First Family, Largest Corporate Team and all categories are loaded with amazing prizes and trophies.

Here’s exactly what you will get for your $1 entry fee:

*Performances by Rako Pasefica
*A sports bag for each participant that crosses the finish line *A discount voucher for Sports World
*Meet and greet with some of the Fiji Bati Team

*Heaps of prizes for the winning 8 categories

Everyone’s entry fee will be collected and the Petero Civoniceva Foundation will then purchase insulin needles to donate to Diabetes Fiji for them to distribute to diabetic patients across Fiji. So far the Petero Civoniceva Foundation have purchased over 5000 insulin needles for Diabetes Fiji.

By attending our annual Dash for Diabetes 5km event you are helping raise awareness for more physical activity and healthy eating in Fiji, helping those who already have diabetes and leading by example for the next generation who will follow in your footsteps.

So grab the family and head on down to Buckhurst Park at the end of the sea wall in Suva this Saturday and combine fun and fitness all in one morning.

Vinaka Vakalevu,
